Live Blog @ LMU
We are tape delayed on 710 ESPN, but you can follow along the live blog… Starts next-
15:44- LMU 11-10 Hard to believe that this is the same LMU team that we saw this calendar year. They are extremely athletic. Great game so far as these two teams push the pace. Chuck is off the bench again this game.
11:22- 20-20- Seattle rips off an 8-0 run to take a brief two point lead. This is a high action affair. Mike Boxley is on fire. Nine points shooting 4-5 from the floor. All points coming on jumpers. Garcia threw down a highlight dunk. His biggest of the year. Awesome
7:32- SU 28-26- Boxley continues to roll. Two points off his season high with 12. Garcia is shooting with confidence and has 7 off the bench. SU is holding their own with the Ultra Athletic Lions who have already taken down USC and Notre Dame this year.
3:54- LMU 37-33- 11-0 surge by LMU gave them a 6 point lead. SU just went to the FT line for the first time in the game near the 4:16 mark. SU has gone to the FT line the 2nd most in the country behind Kansas State. SU needs to do a better job keeping the Lions off the glass which is easier said then done.
HALF- LMU 46-40- SU cut a 10 point lead thanks to a 7-3 run to end the first half. Great ending to the 1st half after LMU ripped off a 17-2 run.
15:57- LMU- 50-49- Chuck is on the bench in foul trouble with 3. Seattle is forcing LMU to take jumpers so far in the 2nd half and that is exactly what they need to do. By the way, Elgin Baylor is here. I just spoke to him at the half and that conversation will be played at halftime on Saturday.
11:23- LMU 68-58- Chuck just picked up his fourth foul after spending about 40 seconds on the floor. SU down 10 and it is starting to slip away.
7:25- LMU 75-62- 37-18 rebounding advantage for LMU. They have owned the glass.
Ball Game- LMU 104-89- LMU outlasted Seattle and coasted to victory. They have won 5 in a row and are a completely different team than January.
